Kangaradibebe

LIFE for the Mombo pack of wild dogs in Africa's Okavango Delta is filled with danger and uncertainty. Between the Humans and The Lion, they have to be on guard constantly. But sometimes the problems from within can be even more hazardous. The problems that come from young wild dogs who, like their human counterparts, teenagers, think they can do anything adult dogs do. A terrible combination of intense desire coupled with zero experience. But it’s how we all grow up. Life's greatest lessons and blessings come out of this process. For a young male wild dog, Makoya, who longs to hunt with the older dogs, the adventure begins when he ventures into the human camp and is shot, but then rescued by a young African girl, Kangara and her reluctant friend, Dibebe. As a young man, Dibebe anxiously awaits the day he'll be able to accompany the herders into the field with the cattle instead of being left behind to mind the cow and calves. To help a sworn enemy of the camp, like a wild dog, makes him very uneasy. But he can't say no to Kangara, even if she’s always going against the customs of their people. Kangara longs to break free of the confines of village life to become a ranger. Together, with the little wild dog, they experience the joy and pain of growing up to learn the true meaning of freedom. And although living in this world is not as easy as anyone thinks, it’s still hopeful - especially when sworn enemies can bridge the gap and become the best of friends.
